Jerry Laursen

Jerry-Laursen-mugJerry and his wife Miriam moved to Spokane and joined VBC in March 2006, and Jerry became an elder a couple years later. He grew up in Southern California, where he received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from UCLA. He met his wife Miriam at Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland, where he also earned an M.Div. & Th.M. at Western Seminary. He then earned a Th.D. in New Testament from Dallas Seminary. Jerry and Miriam joined the Central American Mission in 1972 and served as missionaries in Guatemala for 20 years. They then planted and pastored an Hispanic church in Chicago for 12 years. Jerry now serves Camino Global via two Internet ministries, writing Bible commentaries and articles in Spanish for free downloading and counseling Hispanics from 63 countries. Jerry and Miriam have 4 daughters and 12 grandchildren.
