Bringing Medications to Camp

In reviewing laws regarding camps in Washington State, it has come to our attention that we need to review and update our forms to include both parent and health care provider authorization for any medication (including over the counter, vitamins, and other herbal or other natural remedies) that will be administered at camps. This means that any and all medications, vitamins, supplements, etc., brought to camp must have a healthcare provider’s written authorization in addition to parental release.

You will receive a medical release form in a separate email that will need to be filled out for each of your students. More details on the requirements for this policy change will be included in that form. If you have questions on any of this, please contact our camp nurse, Donetta Cole, and she will be happy to assist.

Drop-Off & Pick-up

Please drop your student(s) off at camp between 3 and 4 pm on Aug. 1. We will have them ready to be picked up again at 2 pm on Aug. 5.

About BaseCamp

The cliffs of life are steep; the winds are unpredictable. But our Guide is dependable, our equipment sufficient and our route clearly marked. Welcome to Basecamp!

Our goal is not to give students a once-in-a-lifetime rush but to encourage and prepare them for a lifetime of steady, God-honoring spiritual growth.

We have a ton of fun, engage in exciting activities, and enjoy all that a camping environment offers. There are also times for serious thought and careful evaluation. This comes from a call to love and follow our Lord Jesus Christ.

Life isn’t easy, but living for Christ is an exciting adventure and a challenge to enjoy. Camp isn’t the goal of this life, but it is a place that can help students prepare to take on the real world for the glory of our God.
