Good to Know

Editor’s note: As we persevere to provide timely and clear communication to the church body, I thought it would be helpful to have a quarterly “Good to Know” column that includes information about our church that we don’t necessarily talk about every Sunday morning. I hope this is a helpful resource to keep you up-to-date on what is happening around VBC. If you have a suggestion for items you would like to see in this column in the future, please email amanda@spokanevbc.org.

Building Project

The estimated start date for our new auditorium expansion is March 1st, 2025, with a completion date of October 30th. Our building is of steel construction, so a build-to-order steel package is being manufactured. When that arrives and the weather permits, we can begin. If we continue to have a mild winter, it is possible for construction to begin in late February. Of course, weather delays are also possible. Since this is in God’s hands, we continue to pray, plan, and proceed as He allows.

Please pray that God will graciously provide all the funds needed for the project. And particularly, by His kindness and provision, we could begin Phase 2, which includes the now much-needed additional children’s classrooms and nursery.

Elder Appointments

The training and evaluation of prospective elders is moving forward well. During Advent, you all had the pleasure of hearing testimonies from these men. Allan Snodgrass, Kim Peasley, Ken Ainsworth, and Tobi Erickson all demonstrated God’s amazing work and grace in their lives. Please take time to thank each of them for sharing a bit about their personal lives.

Also, please pray for this process as we continue to study, pray, and evaluate each one’s future role in leadership at Valley Bible Church.
